I'm an experienced and qualified Psychotheraputic Counsellor and Hypnotherapist, accredited and registered with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and National Hypnotherapy Society. Following studying Psychotherapy Bsc at Nottingham Trent University in 2003 I worked within various care related roles. Children and families became my focus and I chose to train as a counsellor. I still provide counselling through Place2Be and Derbyshire WISH, volunteering free counselling hours to this charity to support their counselling service. My ethos is to tailor sessions to the client, I have studied many different methods and am qualified in a number of counselling techniques. I continue to up-date my counselling skills , filling my tool-box to provide my clients with a fluid, ethical safe space to explore being human and our relationships with ourselves and the world.
Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is key to positive change, we both need to ensure that this process is right for you. I provide a free 30 minute telephone assessment to see what may work best for you and to answer any of your questions about the counselling process.
